I'm baaaacckk!

Yes, I'm back! It's been a very long hiatus (6 months). The wrist surgery really kicked my ass! I have only recently begun to knit again. I wear stress relief gloves and knit a few rows before my hands begin to burn and tingle. Everyone who knows me must be up to here with my whining but all I have to say is "walk a mile in my shoes".
I will show you what I started before surgery and what I'm (slowly) working on now. I started this scarf for my son for Christmas, it's a slow go, he knows to expect it next Christmas (2008). As you can see I have a long way to go. Every stitch is made lovingly and with ~R~ in my thoughts. One of my greatest fears is that something that I put so much time and love into will get lost or left behind on a chair or loaned to to someone and never returned. I can't let my thoughts go there.
I LOVE shawls and wraps of every kind. These I started before my surgery and have not worked a stitch since and probably won't until I'm finished with the Modern Quilt Wrap. Here's the Argosy Wrap in a vintage yarn from Spinnerin 100% virgin wool made in Switzerland. The quilt wrap is knit in luscious Rowan Kid Silk, absolutely yummy!
